Takanohana Authentic Tegata

Takanohana was the 65th yokozuna and one of the most iconic sumo wrestlers of the modern era. A member of the famous Hanada sumo family, he won 22 top-division championships and became the face of Japanese sumo during its hugely popular 1990s boom. Known for his powerful belt-fighting style and fierce rivalry with Akebono, Takanohana remains one of the sport’s most admired champions.

This tegata was made before Takanohana was an Ozeki or Yokozuna and therefore does not have the red stamps.
