Asanoyama Postcard

Asanoyama postcard - born in 1994 in Toyama Prefecture, Asanoyama is known for his powerful yotsu-sumo technique and classic upright stance. He won the May 2019 Tokyo Basho, earning promotion to ōzeki the following year. After a suspension in 2021 saw him drop to the lower divisions, he has since staged an impressive comeback, climbing steadily back toward the top ranks.
